Dulcius ex Asperis (Sweeter through difficulties)

Clan Fergusson's family motto is Dulcius ex Asperis; you can see it here on our family crest. It roughly translates "sweeter through difficulties" or "sweeter after difficulties."

To think my ancestors centuries ago in Scotland lived by this motto makes me smile. Our struggles, although different, are nothing new. Humans have been struggling since Adam ate that apple in the garden.

Sweeter through difficulties is a great attitude to have. We know there will be challenges in life and business, but those hardships make success even better.

The sweet ain't quite as sweet without the sour, am I right? If you are going through tough days, always remember that sweeter days are coming. Just keep going.

Hello everyone!  Richard and Kaitlin here—we have been married for over 12 years, have 4 amazing children; Macy, Meredith, Mac, and Mia. We are small business owners & entrepreneurs, lifestyle & travel bloggers,  volunteer and serve on several non-profit boards, we are full-time spouses, parents, and we love to Live It Full! We enjoy fishing, hiking, camping, golfing, trying new restaurants, and of course traveling. Most importantly we love to do it all as a family. We've drug our kids all over the world from the time they were in diapers and we've got no plans to slow it down any.

"How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number—living things both large and small. " Psalm 104:24-25
